Homestead fire to be discussed
A community meeting to discuss the Homestead fire in Happy Valley will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ninilchik American Legion.
Representatives from the Alaska Division of Forestry, as well as the Kenai Peninsula FireWise Team will discuss resources available and ways property and homeowners can reduce the risk of a wildfire in the area.
Lessons learned from the Caribou Hills Fire in 2007 will also be presented. For more information, call Judy Reese at 260-4262.
